This very beautiful antique Napoleon III style fireplace was made out of a magnificent and rare Levanto Red marble during the 19th century. This lower part of the jambs is decorated with the legs of lions. The top of the jambs are very curved.
This fireplace is sold with a cast iron insert which is not the original one. The hearth is broken but could be restored on demand.
