This wonderful fireplace, made in the late 19th century, takes the esthetic codes of the Louis XV fireplaces. With curves and counter-curves, the jambs are adorned with large rococo motifs on their upper part, they frame the serpentine entablature decorated with a remarkable shell on the center, underlined with an oblong moulding. The Rococo inspiration of this fireplace is emphasized by the use of the very beautiful Violet breccia marble marked by colors of the veins.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
