This imposing antique Louis XV style fireplace was made out of Fleur de Pêcher marble during the 19th century. It is richly decorated with a typical Louis XV style carved decor. Oblong moldings decorate the frieze and the delicately tapered jambs. They are embellished with acanthus leaves and palmette motifs at the frieze which has, at its center, a palmette adorned with large acanthus leaves.
This fireplace is sold with its original marble floor but without any fireplace insert.
