This Regency-style mantelpiece in veined Carrara marble was executed in the 19th century.
It is richly carved. The center of the lintel is adorned with a regular shell set in a cartouche. Softly curving palms emerge on either side. The lintel also features intricate moldings that follow the upper arc of the mantelpiece. The jambs are slightly curved at the top, with low-relief carvings of stylized foliage and fluted pilasters with cabling below.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
