This beautiful fireplace was made in Carrara marble in the late 20th century.
Its decoration and its shape are typical of the Louis XV style. Indeed, we can see the serpentine entablature underlines by an oblong moulding and adorned on its center with an important Rococo decoration from where are escaping acanthus leaves. The jambs with scrolls are slightly curved and support a rough slab.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
