This antique fireplace was made at the end of the 19th century in Carrara marble.
Its very plump sculpted decoration is characteristic of the Louis XV style. The console jambs are adorned on their upper part with large and thick leaves, while the serpentine entablature shows on its center a beautiful shell adorned with acanthus leaves scrolls, and underlined with an oblong moulding.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
