This Louis XV style fireplace was made of Carrara marble half statuary in the late 19th century. Its serpentine entablature is adorned on its center with a rich decoration composed a beautiful shell in a Rococo and flowery frame. It is underlined by an oblong moulding which runs along the jambs. These latters are curved and adorned on their upper parts with small sculpted shells surmounted by scrolls and on their lower part with large acanthus leaves also accompanied with scrolls. The slab edges are worked to follow the curls of the fireplace's lines, typical of the Louis XV style.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
