This beautiful antique Louis XV style fireplace was made out of Red Griotte marble during the 19th century. Extremely curved and decorated with fleshy sculptures, this fireplace is made in one of the finest French marbles, Red Griotte whose career is in the Pyrenees.
The center of the frieze is ornated with a shell which leaves extend from either side. Windings jambs are carved with shells, leaves and cartridges.
Both sides of the fireplace are paneled.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
