This Louis XVI period fireplace in Corton stone was realized in 18th century.
The jambs, carved as fluted pilasters, support a panneled frieze featuring an antique vase surrounded by acanthus leaves.
The Antiquity ornaments for the architectural and ornamental vocabulary are characteristic of the Louis XVI style , which also manifests itself in straight lines.
Two square rosettes decorate the ends of the frieze, referring to the taste for bucolic.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor.
