Large Napoleon III style fireplace made out of carved oak during the 19th century.
The frieze is carved inlow relief of a frieze decorated with with waves and acanthus leaves, called "Vitruvian scroll." The center of the frieze is adorned with a reverse shell.
Fluted legs with windings in their upper part. A large reversed shell on top of it.
The sides of this fireplace are paneled.
This fireplace is sold with its original brass insert.
