17th century Louis XIV period fountain. A large oval ribbed bowl with a splayed edge that curves and joins in a charming curled movement inside of the bowl behind the drain hole. The bowl rests on a stocky s-shaped console carved with panels and scrolls. The base is hollow to allow for the flow of water. The structure is made to be anchored into a wall, from which water must have flown.
