The carved panels of this overmantel date back to the 18th century, they were reassembled in the 19th century to serve as an overmantel mirror. In Regence style , this overmantel draws a beautiful regular bow and presents shells which are typical of the following style, the Louis XV style . The shapes are underlined by slightly curved lines around which flowered plants twist. Above the mirror, the fine oak sculpture depicts war trophies: weapons, ax, dagger, pike, sabers, placed on a bed of holly, symbols of protection.
