This important trumeau was made of gilt wood and stucco in the second half of the 19th century.
The modern mirror is framed by a beautiful crown of roses and surmounted by an abundant decor composed of two putti on each side holding on their hands a horn of plenty from where are escaping bouquets of roses. The architectural pediment is adorned with olive tree branches, acanthus leaves and trimmings, it is surmounted by a beautiful projecting crown of flowers held by a ribbon. This decoration mixing styles and taste to create an extremly rich and eclectic whole is typical of the artistic taste under the Second Empire.
