This antique Louis XIV style fireback from the 19th century shows the allegory of Aurora brandishing her sceptre, together with the Gallic rooster
A similar fireback is conserved in the Museum of Châlons-sur Marne and is illustrated in Henri Carpentier's book " Firebacks".
