This harness was made by Ferdinand Barbedienne, the ornamental bronzes were designed according to drawings by Louis-Constant Sevin, one of the most famous ornamental designers of the Barbedienne house. He collaborated with the greatest manufacturers of his time such as Froment-Meurice or Denière and was regularly rewarded at Universal Exhibitions. The shelf is made of serpentine.
