This pair of circular presentation pedestals was made in the 19th century and is attributed to Gabriel Viardot. The apron is sculpted, with an openwork decoration of stylized Chinese inspired motifs. The stiles are highlighted by gilded bronze lions' heads, resting on four curved legs connected by a sculpted and perforated stretcher.
