This Regence style fireplace was made in the 19th century in a beautiful Violet Breccia marble.
The shape of this firepalce is inherited from the Louis XV style but with lines less curved. Indeed, the entablature still underlined by an oblong moulding doesn't show anymore a serpentine line but stays adorned on its center with a beautiful shell from which are escaping acanthus leaves. It is supported by fluted mounts decorated with small shells on the upper corners.
This fireplace comes with an antique cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
