This rare fireplace was made in the late 19th century in Jaune de Sienne marble. At that time Egyptomania was very fashionable.
The entablature is carved with a solar winged disk protected by a double-headed eagle, symbol of Horus. The cast iron insert is ornamented with a simple grid.
This fireplace is sold with an old cast iron insert adapted to the mantel but without the marble floor. It could be made on order depending the marble availability.
