This beautiful Louis XV style mantel was made in the 19th century in Carrara marble.
It is adorned with a rich sculpted decoration, indeed we can find on the curved jambs some coiling, ancanthus leaves and shells motifs. The serpentine entablature is adorned with a beautiful central decor composed of an important shell in an acanthus leaves and small flowers surrounding, underlined by an oblong moulding.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
