This Louis XVI style mantel was made of Vert d'Estours marble in the late 19th century.
It receives a sculpted neo-classical decoration, showed by the presence of a beautiful Vitruvian scrolls frieze also called running dog pattern, on the entablature. This decoration is framed by square roses on each corner. The entablature is supported by fluted jmabs with small scrolls on the upper part.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert and with its marble floor.
