This beautiful Louis XVI style mantel was executed in marble in the second half of the 19th century. The entablature is decorated with scrolls which develop on each side of an acanthus leaf. The jambs are formed by two tapered half columns, fluted and rudented with asparagus heads decoration, topped and supported by acanthus leaves, all resting on circular bases.
This fireplace comes with an antique cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
