This antique Louis XVI style mantel was made in the second half of the 19th century in peonazzo marble.
The curved jambs carved with filleted flutes and a scroll adorned with an acanthus leaf support an entablature decorated with interlacing vine branches framing a large acanthus leaf.
The molded tray is slightly curved and has projections in the corners above a rosette decoration
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
