This small mantel was made of a beautiful Violet Breccia marble in the late 18th century.
Typical of the Louis XV style, its serpentine header is adorned with a beautiful sculpted shell underlined by an oblong moulding that goes down the jambs.
In the 18th century, the mantel's sides were not built, our mantel's ones were made later in a modern stone. They could be painted in faux marble
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order (please ask for marble availabily).
