This important fireplace was made of walnut in the second half of the 19th century.
It shows on its entablature an acanthus leaves scrolls decoration receiving a rich cartouche on its center. The hearth is framed with a moulding receiving acanthus leaves on the corners, and with a beautiful earthenware insert adorned with checked pattern composed of green and brown diamond shapes with heraldic lions.
Our fireplace is surmounted by an acroterion and also support an important walnut trumeau. The mirror is set in an architectural frame with a sober decoration. It is composed of pilasters with composit capitals. A small slab made of Vert de mer marble comes to adorn the pediment.
This fireplace is sold with its original enameled insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
