This very beautiful Japanese trumeau was made of tainted sycamore in the late 19th century very likely by the French specialist of the Japonisme.
Thus he imagines here a mirror framed by a blacken wood frieze with leaves sculpted in bas-relief, surmounted by a curved pediment with steps and open worked Japanese motif. Also adorne on its center with a projecting demon's head.
