This important Louis XV fireplace was made around 1900 out of Rouge du Nord marble.
The serpentine entablature is adorned on its center with a beautiful shell framed with small acanthus leaves and an oblong moulding. The jambs also adorned with delicate shells on the upper corners, are paneleds and slightly curved.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
