Good condition. The marble floor is broken but will be restored in our workshop.
This antique fireplace was made of Red Griotte marble in the late 19th century.
It is adorned with a wide bolection moulding underlining the opening of the hearth and typical of the Louis XIV style, and a massive acroterion with a central and rectangular cartouche flanked by a fluted decoration and acanthus leaves on the corners.
The choice of the Red Griotte marble of which the particularity is to have a mottled aspect, brings an additional decorative effect to out fireplace.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert and with its marble floor, which is broken but will be restored in our workshop.
