This oval and beveled mirror made in the second half of the 19th century is a beautiful example of the Napoleon III decorative arts style.
Finely chiseled, the decoration of the frame in stucco is inspired by the Louis XVI style, the mirror is indeed surmounted by a vase decoration adorned with a flowers bouquet and holding a laurel crown. From this central motif, flowers scrolls are escaping to fall on the sides.
