This mantel was made of oak in the late 19th century.
Its straight lines and its sculpted decoration respond to the Louis XVI style criteria. Indeed, the entablature is adorned with a central rose framed with acanthus leave motif forming a garland. The slightly convex jambs also receive on their upper parts an acanthus leave motif holding flowers garlands and on the lower part a perfume burner.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor.
