Stained glass window from a chapel with Mary as central figure

19th century stained glass window from a chapel in Bordeaux signed Mauméjean, Neo-Gothic style. Representing three hieratic standing figures placed on pedestals each in a separate stained glass panel. The central figure, is an woman dressed in bright green, representing Mary Magdalena, on her left, the pondering figure of a saint holding a staff, and on her right dressed in Roman attire a crowned King holding a harp and singing up towards the skies, representing King David. Above are three rosettes, featuring the faces of flying angel with red and green wings. The colors of the stained glass are strikingly bright, the features have been painted with attention to detail. Unfortunately we were unable to salvage the stone frame. This stained glass window is one of three – see items # 1027 and 1029.

Very beautiful antique Napoleon III oval mirror decorated with bunches of grapes and grape leaves

This oval mirror is a very beautiful example of the decorative art of the Napoleon III style , which was the age of leisure and balls. Finely executed, wooden and gilt stucco vines frame the "parecloses", and are reflected in the mirror.

Louis XIV style moulding fireplace in a beautiful Red Griotte marble

This fireplace was made in the late 19th century in a very beautiful Red Griotte marble. It is simply adorned with a bolection moulding around its beautiful cast iron insert decorated with arabesque motifs inspired by the Renaissance decorative vocabulary.
