This beautiful antique Victorian style fireplace is an English model of the late 19th century made of white Carrara Statuary marble, the most luxurious marble. Its whiteness and its brilliance contrast with the thin borders and the diamonds in violet Brocatelle marble. Fine sculptures adorn this fireplace. Its jambs, delicately fluted on a pilaster slightly in relief, are decorated with garlands of flowers and diamons in Brocatelle marble marquetry. They support a frieze alternating with garlands of flowers and diamonds. At its ends are finely carved Greek vases. The straight lines of this fireplace are highlighted by the border of violet Brocatelle marble which follows the interior contour of the fireplace.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order.
