This rare antique fireplace in the Louis XVI style was made during the 18th century. This fireplace is made out of a very white marble, almost crystalline, known as "Sivex" marble. The entablature is carved with fluting all along its length and three round rosettes in gilde bronze decorate the entablature. The rosettes are very delicately chiselled and present a rare quality. These ornaments are characteristic of the Louis XVI style. The jambs are also decorated with rudented fluting.
This fireplace is sold without any insert but with its marble floor.
