This Louis XVI style mantel was made of Carrara marble in the late 19th century.
It depicts a simple decoration of worked mouldings on the entablature, supported by curved jambs with flutes. The elegance of this mantel is translated through the simplicity of its decoration and the delicate veins of the Carrara marble.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert and with its marble floor.
