Small French Regence style mantel carved out of a beautiful, slightly veined semi-statuary marble. Using the basic design of the later Louis XIV style mantel, the entablature here is curved in a typically French Regence manner. The front is adorned with an asymmetrical foliaged cartouche, flanked on both sides by molded panels and protruding spandrels. The double panel design on the jambs is both sober and elegant.
This fireplace is sold without any insert nor marble floor but they can be made to order.
