This large vase in blue mottled glass is attributed to the Clichy glassworks. Its decoration and shape are typical of the Art Nouveau aesthetic. Indeed, the polychrome enamel butterflies, its slender neck, and its curved body give it an organic appearance reminiscent of the works of Gallé or Loetz. The cobalt blue color and the mottled patterns also pay a powerful tribute to nature and are inspired by hard stones. The vase is embellished with gilding, and the base is entirely gilded.
