Beautiful antique Empire period fireplace made in the early 19th century in a black marble. The columns of Doric order support an important frieze that is adorned with gilt bronze ornaments: Greek theater mask, Pegasus, palmettes and rosettes. The detached columns are relatively rare and are characteristic of Empire style fireplaces.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
