Glazed earthenware cachepot with engraved decoration including four quadrilobed medallions adorned with scenes from everyday life: men fishing, go game, Japanese calligraphy, men chatting. Between the medallions unfolds a decor of interlacing and flowers on a blue background characteristic of the Japanese decorations. This cachepot was made in France during the 19th century.
